THE CHESAPEAKE HOMES STORY

Chesapeake Homes is wholly owned and operated by Dilday Builders, Inc. DBI was incorporated in 1979 and has been licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia Board of Contractors since 1977. DBI began working with systems-built products in 1980 while constructing stick-built homes and performing renovations, remodeling, etc.

In the early 1980's, we realized the significant changes in the methods of, and built-in quality that's offered with system-built construction. We ventured out with a model home in a subdivision and from there expanded to now have three (3) fully furnished model homes located on a major highway.

Lloyd Dilday, President of DBI, has been in the construction business since 1972, working on all aspects of construction from remodeling to large residential and commercial projects. Our staff is well versed in all phases of construction, starting with our office staff consisting of Karen Ray who is typically the first contact you will make with our firm and Jennifer Dilday who handles all of the financial concerns. Karen has a background in working with the public in retail sales and management, as well as banking. She knows all the primary steps needed to start the constuction process as well as see it through to completion - not to mention her ever-increasing knowledge of the construction business. Jennifer has a degree in financial management from CNU and is well versed in construction financing, as well as handling all the day to day accounting for Chesapeake Homes, Chesapeake Flooring and Chesapeake Enclosures. This team will not only make it happen - they make it easy.

Once your home is delivered, you can be absolutely sure that the investment in your home is secure as you watch our team of men go about the task of setting and securing your home. All of our homes are  completed by our in-house mechanics including our carpenters, painters, plumbers and electricians. A full time service mechanic is available to provide service on all our homes as needed. Someone from our firm is on each job, each day providing expert supervision and scheduling.
